Class C2

A series of 22* 4-6-4T locomotives built in 4 batches by Nasmyth, Wilson and North British.

*The final batch was not delivered due to WWII - it was taken over by the War Department and sent to Egypt for the Middle East Forces. After the war they were allocated FMSR numbers but there was a dispute over payment as they were no longer new. Eventually they were sold to the Royal Jordanian Hashemite Railway in 1949 and delivered by 1951.
