Mengkarak to Jerantut

Above: After our stop at Mengkarak the train pulled forward and reversed into the loop to wait for a southbound train to cross. During this lengthy stop the opportunity was taken for group photographs in front of the stabled train (below).

 

Above: Going into telephoto mode I got this shot of 6375 leaving the jungle and entering Mengkarak with a Singapore-bound train. Note the variety of coaching stock in use.

 

Above and below: These two shots were taken from the front of the train as we approached Kuala Krau.

 

Above: A typical jungle station, Mai is the shortest name on the system.
Below: The guard gives the "right away" from the rear of the train at Jeransong.
