Antonito to Williams Junction 28th September 2007 We drove back to Santa Fe in the morning using a different route to the outward journey and after lunch were transported back to the station at Lamy. We were to catch the westbound South West Chief but the eastbound train arrived first and when it departed a few minutes later our train was already in the loop. Next stop was Albuquerque where there was a 2 hour break for servicing the locomotives. This gave the opportunity to photograph the entire fleet of the New Mexico Rail Runner commuter service. The journey continued through an area where there were several lines visible and numerous long, heavy freights in both directions. We arrived at Williams Junction well after dark.
