Lake Erie to the Mississippi
21st September 2007
This journey
began at Buffalo Depew in the early hours of the morning with the train several
hours late. When we awoke we were close to the southern shore of Lake Erie and
had regained some of the lost time but would not have time to see much of
Chicago if the South West Chief was on time. In fact we had enough time for a
quick lunch and a visit to the Metra station and a nearby park before our
connecting train departed on time.
