Journey from New
York to Niagara Falls
17th September 2007
Our train was
hauled from New York to Albany by 701 which was then replaced by 67 for
the rest of the journey. There was a large locomotive depot here and also a long
siding full of locomotives. We had also passed a depot at Croton Harmon where
there were both Amtrak and Metro North locomotives, including a 1960s FL9. At Adirondack we passed that line's vintage train
and a lot of CSX locomotives were seen in the Buffalo area. We left the train at
Niagara Falls, Ontario, but 67 continued towards Toronto.
