Ferrymead

11th November 2007

After breakfast we went to Ferrymead and found that only one electric tram was running, but they might be getting the steam tram out later so we were able to visit the rest of the museum first and the workshops before all the crowds turned up. When we came out of the workshop the steam tram was running so we took a ride behind it before lunch. After lunch I walked around taking photos of the steam tram at different locations and it stopped beside me and the driver invited me on board and showed me how to drive it. After 1½ circuits he had me turning the whole train on the triangle and then let me do several more circuits while he had lunch!
