Auckland to Tongariro National Park by steam

30th October 2007

For operational reasons our train would start from Papakura station and would be hauled throughout by 4-8-2 Ja1271 on its 3-day journey from Auckland to Wellington. Today it would stop at Hamilton, Otorohanga (optional visit to the Kiwi House), Te Kuiti and National Park.
