Malaysia 2013 - 8

Journey from Butterworth to Kuala Lumpur on 20th February 2013.

Above & below: This is actually 562.04 DUNGUN masquerading as 564.25 Kuala Lumpur, as it has done since the 1985 exhibition at Taiping, where it was operating special services between Ipoh and Taiping for the Malayan Railways Centenary celebrations along with 564.36 TEMERLOH. Note the pre-war design tender.

Above: Works plate numbered 1502 of 1948 showing that the locomotive it is on is actually 15118 and not 15101, another relic from Taiping in 1985.

Below: "564.25" clearly showing the front end of a pre-war 562 class, this is actually 562.04 DUNGUN which "mysteriously disappeared" from Taiping in 1985.
